Organic Embedding:a Strategic Choice for Remote Chambers of Commerce to Revitalize Rural Industries
Prosperous industry is an important foundation for rural revitalization.There is both a historical tradition and a realistic foundation for the promotion of rural industrial revitalization by hometown chambers of commerce.As a kind of connected social capital,embedded through the organic integration of institutional,structural,relational and cognitive aspects,it is a useful concept for hometown chambers of commerce to promote policy implementation,industry rooting,resource linkage and confidence building,as well as an important mechanism for hometown chambers of commerce to realize their own development and the integration of rural industries in their places of origin.The results of the case study show that the Quanzhou-based hometown Chamber of Commerce has contributed to the sustainable revitalization of rural industries by coordinating the development of social capital and the formal system in the same direction,utilizing internal and external networks in an integrated manner to give full play to the role of resource elements,and strengthening awareness to enhance the trust and support of rural industry revitalization subjects.In the future,in order to further promote the role of hometown chambers of commerce in the revitalization of rural industries,it is necessary for hometown chambers of commerce to establish good cooperation norms with the government,farmers and all sectors of society,further tighten the structure of the"social network"for the revitalization of rural industries and strengthen the overall construction of the trust system.
