Technological Innovation Capability of Universities Serving Strategic Emerging Industries——an Analysis of Patent Data from Universities in Fujian from 2013 to 2022
Strategic emerging industries are an important force for the economic and social development.Based on the patent data applied by universities in Fujian Province from 2013 to 2022,this study analyzes the driving role of universities in the development and innovation of strategic emerging industries from multiple perspectives,including patent application trends,legal status,maintenance period,patent applicants,patent transfers,and value.The research shows that universities in Fujian Province have been active in scientific and technological innovation in strategic emerging industries in the past 10 years,with uneven contributions to the development of various industries,low levels of industry university research cooperation,and low rates of high-value patents and transfers.It is suggested that universities should coordinate the layout of"discipline chain-innovation chain-industry chain",deepen industry university research cooperation,conduct technology research and development guided by demand,and improve patent service systems to enhance the service capabilities and levels of strategic emerging industries in universities.
