Theory and Practice of CPC in Establishing New Type of People's Army
Exploring how to establish and lead a new type of people's army that truly represents the interests of most of the people has always been an extremely important historical task for the CPC to lead the Chinese revolution.In early revolutionary practice,the CPC,under the guidance of Marxism and Leninism,had a preliminary understanding of the nature of the army and other important issues,put forward the idea of arming the people in the criticism of the old warlords,and formed a basic understanding of transforming the old army in the KMT-Communist cooperation.After the failure of the Great Revolution,the CPC deepened their understanding of the importance of independent military building,and made clear in the practice of military building that the new type of people's army must be led by the proletarian party,composed of workers and peasants,and shouldered the principles of fighting for the people.At the Gutian Conference,the CPC clarified and corrected the non-proletarian ideology that affects the construction of the new people's army,proposed the systematic content and methods of the military's ideological and political work,and ensured the CPC's absolute leadership over the military through system construction,marking the formal finalization of the new people's army.
