The Integration of Culture and Tourism in the Context of Chinese Path to Modernization:Fivefold Logics and Important Issues
Chinese path to modernization is the modernization of a huge population,of common prosperity for all,of material and cultural-ethical advancement,of harmony between humanity and nature and of peaceful development.In practice,Chinese path to modernization shows such paradigm features as the superposition of time-space compression and task multiplicity,the combination of national autonomy and people's subjectivity,the synchronization of latecomer catch-up and forward-looking reflection,and the integration of comprehensive elements and structural complexity.The development of culture and tourism is an important part of Chinese path to modernization,while promoting the integrated development of culture and tourism is an important task of building a strong cultural country at the present stage.The integrated development of culture and tourism is not only an important way to enhance cultural confidence and strengthen cultural identity,but also an urgent need for high-quality industrial development and upgrading consumer demand.Compared with its development potential,the integration of culture and tourism still has certain limitations,and further efforts are needed to promote the integration of the two in a wider range,to a greater extent,at a deeper level,and at a higher quality.It is necessary to understand,examine and promote culture and tourism and their integrated development in the overall pattern and historical orientation of Chinese path to modernization,to solve the existing problems such as weakness of value orientation,fragmented promotion methods,imperfect market system,relatively low level of governance,and weak academic support.Based on the brief literature review of Chinese path to modernization and integration of culture and tourism,this paper discusses the value logic,historical logic,system logic,practical logic and theoretical logic of promoting the integration of culture and tourism under the background of Chinese path to modernization,and presents eight important issues that require special attention at present and in the coming period by combing the overall requirements of Chinese path to modernization with the practical needs of promoting the deep integration of culture and tourism.The first issue is the value orientation,target system,and indicator system for the integrated development of culture and tourism in the process of Chinese path to modernization.The second issue is the realistic basis and characteristic facts of the integrated development of culture and tourism in the process of Chinese path to modernization.The third issue is the experience and enlightenment of integrated development in major fields in the process of Chinese path to modernization.The fourth one is how to better guide and meet consumer demand through the deep integration of culture and tourism and the fifth is how to establish a modern market system to promote the deep integration of culture and tourism development.The sixth issue is how to drive the deep integration of culture and tourism development through technological innovation.The seventh one is how to improve the level of governance modernization to promote the deep integration and development of culture and tourism and the eighth issue is how to construct a systematic theoretical system to explain and promote the deep integration of culture and tourism development.
