Research on the Process and Mode of Tourism Business Form Agglomeration Based on Tourism Value Chain Model:A Case from OCT Group
Agglomeration is a chemical concept that refers to the formation of a new substance or a more stable new structure after the reaction of particles or elements combined together.In the rapid development of the tourism industry,a phenomenon from point to group has emerged in tourism business forms.This paper introduces the concept of agglomeration from chemistry into the tourism industry,and explores the tendency of agglomeration in tourism business forms based on the cyclic process of value creation,value transfer,value re-creation,and value re-transfer in the tourism value chain model.In addition,it clarifies that the essence of tourism business form agglomeration is the formation of a relatively stable interlinkage relationship structure between multiple business forms.Furthermore,the paper takes Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Holdings Company Group(OCT)as a typical case.It analyzes its tourism development history over the past 30 years,paying particular attention to the changes in tourism business forms throughout its development process.Specifically,the development process of the OCT Group is divided into three phases:the pioneering and entrepreneurial period,the industrial integration period,and the comprehensive development period.By comparing the development changes of tourism business forms in these three phases,the paper summarizes the development path of agglomeration in tourism business forms,providing valuable reference for the development of enterprises and the industry.After in-depth theoretical contemplation and detailed data collection and analysis,the research draws conclusions as follows.(1)The process of tourism business form agglomeration based on the tourism value chain can be divided into three stages,i.e.,linear non-core stage,linear single-core stage,and tree-type multi-core stage,and these stages are evolved from point to set and from set to group.(2)The modes of tourism business form agglomeration include link penetration mode,chain reorganization mode,and network reconstruction mode,which are in a progressive process of the tourism business form from internal integration to cross-border integration and then to stacked integration.(3)Tourism business form agglomeration gradually formed in the process of value transfer,exchange,and value-added.A variety of business forms can be combined through methods such as superposition,embedded,strong combination,complementary combination,and others,which can give the original inactive business form more vitality.The process of tourism business form agglomeration not only characterizes the great integration of the industries,but also reveals the paths and methods of in-depth integration of industries,which provides insights into the direction of the tourism industry and enterprises.
