From Aesthetic to Well-being:Research on the Aesthetic Well-being of Rural Tourism Practitioners from the Perspective of Human Development
The ultimate goal of communism is the free and all-round development of human, and the highest ideal of life from the perspective of traditional Chinese culture is a natural aesthetic realm that transcends utilitarianism.Aesthetics constitutes a perceptual domain that enriches the subject's emotions, stimulates life vitality and promotes all-round development, and is an important consideration in rural tourism. If rural tourism practitioners intend to provide tourists with experiences that lead them to"contemplate God and beauty",they need to be"god-like and beautiful"first, and their perception of well-being from the perspective of aesthetics is not only an affirmative experience of the aestheticization of daily life, but also the aesthetic pleasure derived from the integration of reason and desire. In the current study,on the basis of the integration of aesthetic education with rural revitalization and the perspective of human development, and relying on the principles of cognitive neuroaesthetics and spatial design aesthetics,Xidi and Hongcun in Anhui province were examined as case studies.Field research, grounded theory, and regression analysis were used to explore the approaches and mechanisms employed by rural tourism practitioners, from the rise of aesthetics to the emergence of aesthetic well-being derived from the aesthetic perception of spatial design, paying attention to the process of discovering, perceiving, and creating beauty, and the realization of the ideal characteristics of beauty in the context of tourism. The results revealed that the aesthetic performance of rural tourism practitioners exhibited three aspects:notions and judgments of aesthetics, perceptions and experience of aesthetics, and the creation and design of aesthetics.Additionally,a key factor in the emergence of their aesthetics was found to be the transformation of their own cognitive mode and the change in their own interests and needs driven by tourism.Rural tourism practitioners in the early stage of the industry had utilitarian motives, and paid attention to"business".In the middle and late stages, rural tourism practitioners focused on improving their own spiritual shackles,to meet"poetic"goals. In this transition, practitioners'internal cognitive mode changed from a general cognitive mode to an aesthetic cognitive mode, which specifically manifested in the neuroaesthetics perspective of the module of"perception mode centrum+[meaning centrum]+affirmative emotion centrum"of the aesthetic cognitive nervous chain. The aesthetic well-being of rural tourism practitioners mainly stems from Huizhou style unity perception, element variety perception,Huizhou style typicality perception and design novelty perception, with dynamic relationships between these factors. The emergence of aesthetic well-being among rural tourism practitioners reflects the development of the individual as the subject of aesthetic personality, and the free and all-round development of human who enrich their individual emotional state and promote the coordination of knowledge, affection and meaning. This represents an example of the realization of the humanistic value of tourism, the ultimate significance of rural revitalization, and the realization of human development goals.
