THE EFFECT OF ACUPOINT MASSAGE ON BREAST PAIN AND INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE MASTITIS DURING LACTATION
Objective To explore the treatment methods for acute mastitis during lactation.Methods 102 patients with acute mastitis during lactation were selected and randomly divided into two groups,with 51 cases in each group.Both groups were given traditional Chinese medicine wet and hot compress,while the study group received acupoint massage.The intervention lasted for 2 weeks,and breast pain and inflam-mation levels were observed.Results After intervention,the study group showed better improvement in breast pain,breast lump size,breast redness and swelling area score,as well as CRP,WBC,and PCT lev-els compared to the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion The combination of traditional Chinese medi-cine wet hot compress and acupoint massage can improve symptoms such as breast swelling and pain in pa-tients with acute mastitis during lactation,and regulate the level of inflammatory response.
