锚定关系性:数字化环境下新闻消费研究的路径创新

互联网平台与数字化技术的深入发展赋权了新闻受众,使其成为新闻生态中的重要行动者,催生了新闻研究的受众转向.当前,受众的新闻消费实践呈现出情境、平台、内容、行为层面的多重嵌套特征,挑战了传统的以媒介演化为视角、以受众测量主导的新闻消费研究.新闻消费研究的关系性视角体现为两个方面:一是在"结构—文化"路径下研究受众的"新闻菜单",描述其如何组合搭配外,将"新闻菜单"和受众的日常生活相联系,关注其形成的机制过程和意义的产生,进而突破仅把新闻消费作为新闻研究的子领域,将新闻消费与社会结构和社会变迁等宏观议题相勾连;二是将新闻受众置于新闻生产与新闻消费的循环中解读,聚焦新闻消费对于生产端和消费端的作用,关注新闻消费与新闻消费的互构关系、新闻消费与新闻生产的倒逼关系.同时呼吁采用关系性的视角,基于本土语境开展新闻消费的经验研究.
Anchoring Relationships:Path Innovation in News Consumption Research in the Digital Environment
The development of internet platforms and digital technology has empowered audiences to become important actors in the news ecosystem,leading to the audience turn in news research.The audience's news consumption is influenced by multiple factors including context,platform,content,and behavior,posing a challenge for the traditional research focusing on audience measurement under the perspective of media evo-lution.Therefore,current news consumption research can be conducted from two relational perspectives.The first follows a structure-culture path to research the audience's"news menu"by describing its combination,associating it with audiences'daily life,and focusing on the mechanism and significance of its formation.In this case,news consumption,which is not viewed as a subfield of news research only,is further connected with macro issues including social structure and change.The second interprets the audiences by placing them in the cycle of news production and consumption.It focuses on the role of the news consumption in the pro-duction and consumption ends,the mutual construction between news consumptions,and the reverse rela-tionship between news consumption and production.Besides,empirical studies should be conducted based on local contexts from the relational perspective.
