Promoting Coordinated Regional Development by Accelerating the Formation of New Quality Productive Forces:Theoretical Logic and Implementation Path
Currently,China is actively promoting coordinated regional development(CRD),and new quality productive forces(NQPF),as the future form of productivity, serve as a strategic leverage for promoting CRD.To this end,the present paper,by constructing an analytical framework of"factors-industry-production relations",explores the theoretical logic and implementation path of accelerating the formation of NQPF to facilitate regional development.Specifically,in production factor dimension, this new form of productivity weakens factor's spatial stickiness, enhancing the balance of regional development. In industry dimension,it propels iterative upgrade of industrial structure, thus enhancing the industrial synergy of development. In production relation dimension,it gives rise to new production relations aimed at meeting"the people's expec-tation for a better life",boosting the sustainability of regional development. However,in the distribution of NQPF,there are still some practical obstructions, including rigid mechanisms, industrial"path lock-in"and inadequate public services. Therefore,we need center around the strategic system of China's current CRD to prioritize major regional strategies, coordinated development of regions and construction of new townships.Through the construction of factor marketization and regional modern industrial systems as well as improve-ment of urban public services,we can optimize the distribution of production factors, industries and public services and drive the formation of NQPF to better empower CRD.
