Being a new content of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,developing New Quality Productive Forces(NQPF)is an important task to promote Chinese Moderniza-tion.However,the practice of NQPF urgently calls for the corresponding development effect evaluation.Drawing on the theoretical connotation and the existing theory,the present paper constructs an evaluation system of the NQPF Index and measures the development of the whole country and all regions to reveal the real situation of the development of NQPF.The NQPF Index results reveal that the development of NQPF has been in a steady upward trend since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,but varies greatly in different regions.This gap is not only reflected in the gradient gap between the four regional plates,but also in the variation between the high NQPF development level in a few provinces and lower level in other ones.In response to current challenges,the present paper proposes developing various types of regional innovation communities,breaking through the key core technologies of emerging industries and future indus-tries,promoting the industrialization of patents and the training of talents with professional skills of emerging industries,and guarding against the risk of over-investment in emerging industries actively.
