Simulating net primary productivity of Chinese terrestrial vegetation during 2002-2010
A reconstructed 16-day MODIS NDVI product (MOD13C1), gridded GLDAS meteorological data and land use map were used to estimate the NPP in China during 2002?2010. The reconstructed NDVI time series adjusted the noise of the original NDVI series and improved the accuracy of simulation. The spatial distribution of NPP indicated significant zonal characteristics and preliminary results showed that the total annual terrestrial NPP was about 3.78×1015 gC/a, and the terrestrial NPP for the spring, summer and autumn was about 6.40×1014, 1.59×1015, 8.10×1014 gC/a respectively.
