The bird diversity and its seasonal dynamics in the Yuhe Nature Reserve of the giant panda habitat were investigated via the line transect method and infrared camera data in different seasons from 2020 to 2021.Identified were 166 birds species, belonging to 14 orders and 47 families, including 25 spe-cies in the second category of the lists of wildlife under special state protection in China. All of these spe-cies are of the least concern in the international union for conservation of nature red list. The geographi-cal fauna of breeding birds was mainly Oriental(46.10%)and widespread(44.81%),the most part of dis-tribution type being Oriental. The type of birds was mainly composed of residents(66.87%),and there was also a certain proportion of summer vistors(25.90%).The bird community diversity was the greatest in summer(3.772)and lowest in spring(3.166).And summer had the highest number of bird species,win-ter the highest number of bird individuals.Residents were the main part of the bird community in each season, and the seasonal variation of bird community was not obvious. The seasonal dynamics of bird communities in the Yuhe area were determined by its geographical location and the composition of the resident type of birds.
