The effect of Racopilum cuspidigerum capping on earthen sites was studied through indoor experiments on the permeability, rain erosion, temperature sensitivity and wind erosion resistance. The changes in permeability under drought stress, the rain erosion resistance, insulation and thermal insu-lation performance,as well as wind erosion resistance under 5 different coverage conditions were ex-plored.The results indicated that the permeability of moss under drought stress was a dynamic and contin-uous process that gradually stabilized.Air convection could significantly increase moisture permeability, and the final moisture permeability with airflow disturbance was 3.32 times that without airflow distur-bance;the R.cuspidigerum cappinging had dual characteristics of heat insulation and preservation, and its preservation performance was more prominent;the increase in coverage could significantly enhance the resistance to wind(rain)erosion, and the regression equation satisfied the linear function rule.
