关联理论视角下文化负载词的翻译——以《长恨歌》两个英译本为例

摘要
在诗歌英译中,文化负载词的翻译对传递中西方文化有着不可估量的作用,这对译者的翻译能力带来了极大考验.以《长恨歌》为例,通过对翟理士和许渊冲两个译本中文化负载词的英译进行对比,验证关联理论在翻译实践上的合理性与解释力,进而探究译者所采取的不同翻译策略,以期对中国诗歌文化的翻译乃至中华文化的传播产生积极意义.
Abstract
In the English translation of poetry,the translation of culture-loaded words has an inestimable effect on the transmission of Chinese and Western cultures,which brings a great test to the translator's translation ability.Taking Changhenge as an example,by comparing the English translations of culture-loaded words in the two translations by Herbert Allen Giles and Xu Yuanchong,this paper verifies the rationality and explanatory power of relevance theory in translation practice,and further explores the different translation strategies adopted by transla-tors,with a view to producing positive significance for the translation of Chinese poetry culture and even the spread of Chinese culture.
