Influence of Leading Edge Corrosion on Aerodynamic Noise
Aiming at the corrosion problem in the leading edge area of wind turbine blades, taking the corrosion blade in the engineering site as a reference, three airfoils with different corrosion lengths are established, the effects of different corrosion lengths on the aerodynamic noise of the airfoil are studied by LES method and FW-H acoustic model. The results show that when the wind speed is 24m/s,the aerodynamic noise sound pressure level of the original airfoil is the largest, and the sound pressure level of the corroded airfoil is the smallest in the low frequency region. In the middle and high frequency region, the noise sound pressure level of the corroded airfoil is the largest, and the sound pressure level of the original airfoil is the smallest. It is found that different flow veloci-ties have an effect on the sound pressure level of the aerodynamic noise. The study results can provide reference for noise reduction of wind turbines in practical engineering applications.
