Effect of Corrosion Deterioration on Fatigue Characteristics of Corrugated Steel Web Composite Box Girders
In order to study and analyze the influence of corrosion deterioration on the fatigue characteristics of corrugated steel web combined box girder, based on the theory of fracture mechanics,Python is used to write a calculation program for calculating the residual life of corrosion fatigue crack extension, and the fatigue life of the corrugated steel web combined box girder with different initial pits depths, different fatigue loads, and the fatigue life of corrugated steel web combined box girder with or without corrosion is calculated to analyze the influence of the degree of corrosion damage, fatigue load, and corrosion deterioration on the fatigue characteristics of the corru-gated steel web combined box girder. The study shows that the fatigue life of corrugated steel web composite box girder is mainly concentrated in the small crack stage;the fatigue life of the structure under the same fatigue load with an initial pitting depth of 0.5 mm is about 1.9 times that of the initial pitting of 2 mm,and the increase in the degree of corrosion damage results in a decrease in the fatigue characteristics of the structure;the fatigue life of the structure decreases by 56.9%when the fatigue stress amplitude increases from 23.8 MPa to 33.8 MPa for the same initial etch pit depth, and the fatigue characteristics of the structure decrease due to the increase in fatigue loading;under the same fatigue load, the fatigue life of the structure in the presence of corrosive conditions is generally lower than that of the fatigue life in the absence of corrosive media, and roughly about 70.4%lower,cor-rosion deterioration has led to a serious reduction in the fatigue characteristics of the structure.
