Progress on Phosphorus Removal by Fe-Based Materials:Performance and Influencing Factors
The article reviewed the progress on removal of phosphate salts from water by Fe-based materials.Based on the physical and chemical properties of Fe-based materials,the underlying mechanism for the complexation of Fe-based materials with phosphate salts was elucidated,including complex precipitation,adsorption and ligand exchange.The application,modification and optimization methods for phosphorus removal by Fe-based materials were outlined.The removal effect of Fe-based materials on phosphorus and the influencing factors were thorough discussed.Finally,the development direction of iron-based materials for phosphorus removal is prospected.
