Research Progress of on the Separation and Removal of Heavy Metals from Strong Acidic Solutions by Modified Organic Polymer Adsorbents
Adsorption method is the key to solve the problem of resource treatment of heavy metals in strong acidic wastewater, the core of which is the development and application of new adsorbents.Acid-resistant modified organic polymer adsorbents containing special functional groups have high adsorption capacity and selectivity, which is suitable for the treatment of strong acidic heavy metal wastewater, purification of heavy metal waste liquid and other fields. This paper focused on two types of organic polymer adsorbents, modified artificial synthetic polymer adsorbent and modified natural polymer adsorbent, and systematically compared and analyzed their characteristics and mechanisms for separating and removing heavy metals in strong acidic solutions.Comparative analysis found that natural polymer adsorbents are low-cost,environmentally friendly and have abundant coordination groups. They can be easily grafted with functional groups with strong affinity for heavy metal cations and low pKa values,so they can give full play to complexation and electrostatic effects to enhance their acid-resistance and selectivity, which is an important development direction of acid-resistant high-performance modified organic polymer adsorbents.
