Zhang Dainian's early study on Confucius'thoughts can be divided into three stages.In the early 1930s,Zhang Dainian's research on Confucius'thoughts was mainly in the fields of benevolence and epistemology,as well as the overall and positive evaluation of Confucius'thoughts.In the late 1930s,Zhang Dainian's research on Confucius'thoughts was mainly in his theory of heaven,theory of human nature,theory of life to tao,theory of life problems,cognitive methods and other fields.In the late 1940s,Zhang Dainian's research on Confucius'thought was mainly in the fields of"value"philosophy,thoughts of merit and benefit,and cognition methods,and involved in the systematic evaluation of the positive and negative sides of Confucius'thoughts.In Zhang Dainian's mind,Confucius is the founder of Chinese philosophy,which has established the characteristics of Chinese philosophy of life philosophy.Confucius'theory of heaven,theory of human nature,theory of benevolence and theory of cognition have played a pioneering role in Chinese philosophy.
