The project focuses on studying the determination of dangerous areas and technology for preventing and controlling spontane-ous combustion in goaf within super thick coal seams.The background of the project is the main mining 2-2seams on the No.117 large mining height mining face in Jinjitan Coal Mine.Both the exposed 2-2 and upper coal seams are identified as flammable due to oxida-tion,making them prone to spontaneous combustion during mining.To accurately determine the dangerous area of goaf in the No.117 working face and prevent spontaneous combustion of floating coal in goaf,this paper utilizes theoretical analysis and on-site monitoring to divide the dangerous zone within the coal seam goaf.By measuring temperature and analyzing gas composition through pre-buried pipelines in goaf,we obtain insights into air leakage patterns within both goaf and connecting roadways.It is determined that key areas for preventing coal spontaneous combustion are located at depths of 60~145 m from inlet to return within the goaf.A comprehensive fire prevention technology integrating"blocking,inerting and cooling"has been proposed,combining colloid pressure injection systems with nitrogen injection fire prevention systems.Additionally,closed rapid air leakage plugging technology suitable for isolating walls within goafs and connecting roadways has been developed to effectively control leakage risks in goafs while successfully preventing coal sponta-neous combustion.This study provides a technical reference for determining and preventing(extinguishing)similar mine danger areas in China.
