The"bi"construction is an important sentence pattern in second language acquisition and teaching.Based on the Dynamic Systems Theory, research has shown that the acquisition of the"bi"construc-tion is a dynamic developmental process characterized by attractor states. The same error types reoccur in differ-ent learning stages, leading to higher error rates among intermediate and advanced learners. The process of ac-quiring the"bi"construction exhibits nonlinearity, with the number of error types not decreasing but rather fluc-tuating and varying as learning progresses.Drawing from these findings, teaching suggestions for the"bi"con-struction include providing ample exposure to correct linguistic forms, effectively addressing attractor states in the learning process, and increasing the frequency of using the word"bi"sentence.
