Based on the analysis of 758 ancient Guan poems in Yumen and 629 poems in Yangguan and their literary and geographical origins,we can find the process from landscape to literature.In the Han and Tang dynasties,Yangguan and Yumen Pass were situated at the junction of nomadic civilization and agricultural civi-lization.Their special geographical location and regional culture inspired the creation of poets who came to this place either by personal visits or by imagination,and provided them with novel and rich creative materials.In their dialogue with the Yangguan and Yumen Pass,the poets imperceptibly formed the special affection of Yang-guan and Yumen Pass,which was typical and filled with various connotations,and integrated life experience,e-motion,mood,thinking mode,aesthetic choice,and value orientation into Yangguan and Yumen Pass through exotic experience,historical and cultural heritage,literary imagination and so on,thus created much poetry of Yangguan and Yumen Pass with characteristics of the times and different poets.
