Analysis of the Influence of Loading Rate on the Strength of Plastic and Brittle Materials
Study the effect of loading rate on the fracture performance of plastic and brittle materials through tensile tests.Using multiple nonlinear fitting methods to fit the relationship between loading rate and material strength. The fitting results indicate that the sixth order nonlinear fitting graph best reflects the relationship between loading rate and tensile strength; The tensile strength of plastic materials increases rapidly when the tensile rate is low. When reaching a certain critical value, the curve gradually approaches the horizontal line. The tensile strength of brittle materials decreases with the increase of tensile rate. When reaching a certain critical value, the tensile strength remains within a stable range.
