A Cross-Lagged Study of Positive Exercise Experiences on Cell Phone Addiction in Older Adults
A six-month study was conducted to investigate the correlation and prediction of positive exercise experience and cell phone addiction among 859 older adults with an average age of 67.50 years in Jiangxi,Hunan,and Guizhou Provinces.The results of the study showed that:there were no significant differences between the two variables of positive exercise experience and cell phone addiction in terms of time and gender;there was a significant negative correlation between positive exercise experience and cell phone addiction;positive exercise experience in the pre-test significantly and negatively predicted cell phone addiction in the post-test;and cell phone addiction in the pre-test significantly and positively predicted positive exercise experience in the post-test.Both positive exercise experience and cell phone addiction behaviors were stable in older adults,and there was a significant negative correlation between positive exercise experience and cell phone addiction.
