The Effects of Exercise on Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment-a Network Meta-Analysis
Objective:Using network meta-analysis,we compared and ranked the effects of different exercise interventions on improving overall cognitive function, memory, and executive function in patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI).We systematically searched for randomized controlled trials on exercise interventions to improve cognitive function in MCI patients in both Chinese and English literature.Literature screening was conducted strictly according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool was used to evaluate the quality of the included studies. The primary outcome measure was overall cognition, and the secondary outcome measures were executive function and memory.Network meta-analysis was conducted using STATA 16.0 and Addis 1.16.6.The analysis results showed that Baduanjin exercise was the preferred exercise intervention for improving overall cognitive function, memory, and executive function in MCI patients, followed by resistance training.
