Construction of a nomogram model for the risk of sedentary behavior in maintenance hemodialysis patients
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of sedentary behavior in maintenance hemodialysis patients and to es-tablish a nomogram model for the risk of sedentary behavior. Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 579 patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis at a blood purification center of a tertiary hospital in Wuhu City from January 2024 to June 2024.A general information questionnaire, the international physical activity questionnaire and a single-item questionnaire for fear of falling were used for the survey. Results The incidence of sedentary behavior among the 579 patients was 68.0%(394/579),with an average daily sed-entary time of 378.57 minutes(interquartile range:341.43 to 428.57 minutes).Logistic regression analysis showed that age, total thyroid hormone levels, fear of falling, intradialytic hypotension and nutritional risk index were the influencing factors for sedentary behavior in maintenance hemodialysis patients, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).A nomogram model for sedentary be-havior in maintenance hemodialysis patients was established based on these 5 independent risk factors. The area under the receiver oper-ating characteristic curve was 0.743(95%CI:0.700~0.786)and the model's consistency index, after internal validation using boot-strap resampling was 0.743.The model had a good fit(P>0.05).The calibration curve shows a strong correlation between the predicted probability and the actual probability of occurrence. The clinical decision curve shows that the model has good clinical practicality when the threshold probability ranged from 0.25~0.91.Conclusion The predictive model based on risk factors affecting sedentary behavior in maintenance hemodialysis patients has good discrimination, consistency and clinical practicality, offering provide guidance for preven-ting sedentary behavior in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
