Effect of CICARE communication mode on postoperative self-care ability and treatment compliance in pa-tients with prostatic hyperplasia treated by transurethral plasma removal of prostate
Objective To retrospectively analyze the effect of CICARE communication mode in the treatment of hyperplasia of prostate by transurethral plasma excision of prostate. Methods A total of 88 patients with prostate hyperplasia treated by transurethral plasma excision of prostate in our hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected and divided into CICARE group(n=44)and conventional group(n=44)according to different nursing methods.Conventional group received routine nursing, while the CICARE group received empowering nursing based on the CICARE communication model. The improvement of prostate symptoms[International Prostate Symptom Scale(IPSS)],self-care ability[Self-care Ability Scale(ESCA)],treatment compliance, quality of life[World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)]were compared between the two groups. Results Intra-group analy-sis showed that IPSS scores decreased after intervention in both groups compared to before intervention(P<0.05),while after interven-tion,IPSS score in CICARE group decreased more than that in conventional group(P<0.05).Intra-group analysis indicated that ESCA scores, the scores of treatment compliance and the WHOQOL-BREF score increased after intervention in both groups compared to be-fore intervention(P<0.05)Inter-group analysis showed that the increase in ESCA scores, the scores of treatment compliance and the WHOQOL-BREF score in the CICARE group was greater than that in the conventional group after intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion CICARE communication mode can improve treatment compliance,self-care ability, prostatic symptoms, and quality of life for patients with prostatic hyperplasia treated by transurethral plasma enunciation of prostate.
