Determination of thiophene in benzene by gas chromatography and its sensitivity regulation
The traditional spectrophotometry was generally adopted for determination of thiophene content in benzene, but this method had a long analysis process and low accuracy, which could not guarantee the accuracy of the detection data.It was proposed to use gas chromatography equipped with a flame photometric detector(FPD)to detect the content of thiophene in benzene, and the sensitivity of the detector could be adjusted by adjusting detection parameters, such as column temperature, detection pressure, injection volume and split ratio. The minimum detection concentration of thiophene could reach the level of 10×10-9.Compared with the traditional detection method,it had the advantages of simple operation, fast detection, high sensitivity, less interference and good repeatability of measurement results, making the analysis results more accurate and reliable.
