Analysis and evaluation of solid reduction measure for quench water system of MTO plant
Aiming to address the bottleneck issue in the operation of the quench water system in a methanol to olefin(MTO)plant, taking one MTO plant with an annual methanol treatment capacity of 1.8 million tons as the research object, combined with relevant operating data of the plant in the past three years, the causes of high solid content in the quench water system were analyzed, and qualitative and quantitative analysis on the bottleneck problems was conducted.By trial use of high temperature crude extractant for quench water, using separation technology, coupling settling tank with underground sewage tank and applying fluidized bed filtration technology, the mass concentration of solids in quench water reduced to 1 000 mg/L,achieving stable operation of the quench water system.
