Current situation and development strategy of comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas
China is the world largest produc er of coke,and coke oven gas is the main product of coking production,second only to coke.The advanced and applicable utilization path of coke oven gas has become one of the key factors for coking enterprises to enhance their competitiveness.The development history and current situation of using coke oven gas for such fields as city gas,industrial gas,power generation,hydrogen production,methanol synthesis,syngas and so on at home and abroad were analyzed,the problems existing in its practical application process were sorted out,and applicability research on the utilization path of coke oven gas was conducted.It was suggested that when using coke oven gas as a chemical raw gas,it was necessary to combine the characteristics of coke oven gas compositions,rationally allocate carbon and hydrogen elements,adopt technology co-production method to form carbon and hydrogen complementarity,and increase the product added value.It was also suggested that the utilization of coke oven gas should strengthen technological innovation and equipment upgrading,plan scientifically,and develop integrated production bases.
