Determination of benzene toluene ethylbenzene&xylene in coking wastewater by ultraviolet spectrophotometry
In response to the high analysis cost and high requirement for analysis personnel when using gas chromatography to determine the content of benzene toluene ethylbenzene&xylene in coking plant wastewater,as an alternative, ultraviolet spectrophotometry was adopted in Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium Industry Co.,Ltd.The results showed that the maximum relative error of using ultraviolet spectrophotometry to determine the benzene standard solution was 4.0%,and the maximum relative error of unknown water sample measured by ultraviolet spectrophotometry compared to gas chromatography was 11.11%.When using ultraviolet spectrophotometry to measure coking wastewater, the recovery rate in spiked sample was at 95%-105%.The relative standard deviation of the same sample measured by ultraviolet spectrophotometry for five times was 0.85%.
