Because of the importance of D-operation in fuzzy logic, the definition and basic properties of D-operation are researched thoroughly in this paper. At the same time,we get some characterizations of D-implications.By imposing some conditions on the underlying operations,we investigate the conditions under which a D-operation becomes a fuzzy implication.Meanwhile, the conditions when D-implications meet the exchange principle, the identity principle, the ordering property and law of importation are studied.
