The hardness of die part with material Cr12MoV after heat treatment reached 56～62 HRC,the cutting performance was poor,and the cutting difficulty was high.Taking the screw thread of the material Cr12MoV after heat treatment as an example,the traditional machining meth-od generally adopted the EDM machine for screw thread processing,the machining method was low efficiency,and the milling cutting tool was used to improve the processing efficiency.The test results showed that milling hard material screw thread could improve the machining efficiency,re-duce the machining cost,and make the process more safe and environmentally friendly.
