Study on solution of gas trapping for injection moulding of thick wall products
The gas trapping in injection moulding would lead to defects such as insufficient filling and burning of plastic products.Taking a kind of automobile control handle as an example,theoret-ical and experimental research on how to solve the gas trapping of thick-walled solid products during injection moulding was carried out.The results showed that the simulation analysis could effectively predict the approximate location of gas trapping.The rational layout of parting surface was conducive to the simultaneous discharge of gas on both sides of the fixed and moving half cav-ity,and it has obvious effect on the improvement of gas trapping phenomenon.Pumping vacuum is a necessary measure to solve the gas trapping and improve the accuracy of repetition for injection molding in micro structure(pattern surface).
