Design and manufacturing of the punching and forming die for polyimide film
In response to the problems of high scrap rate, low efficiency, and short mold life in the punching process of polyimide film,an analysis is conducted on the existing mold structure and the force on the mold edge during the punching process. The drawbacks and shortcomings of using oblique edge punching molds to process polyimide film are pointed out.Based on the punching mechanism of the pressure roller,a new type of mold has been redesigned and manufactured to achieve seamless punching on a regular press.Using a soft upper mold and a hard lower mold to gnaw and cut each other without gaps,a precision mold base with a ball guide structure and a single spherical floating mold handle that can automatically adjust the alignment are used to compensate for the impact of non parallelism between the press slider and the worktable on the mold life.Production practice has proven that this mold design scheme and manufacturing method are simple and feasible, and have been recognized by the mold manufacturer, reducing the difficulty of mold processing and shortening the manufacturing cycle; The punching section of 0.04mm polyimide film is flat, without burrs, and the size meets the requirements of the drawing, making it suitable for mass production.
