Analysis methods for die force based on numerical simulation of commemorative coin forming process
A proposed analysis method for the force on the die during the coining process of commemorative coins is introduced.After numerical simulation of the coining process,some force data of the die's pressure on the workpiece are obtained.The implementation process of coin forming and die force analysis is discussed,as well as the key technologies for boundary force mapping algorithm that connects these two processes.And then the force is mapped onto the die for die force analysis.Finally,commercial finite element software Deform 3D is used for numerical simulation and analysis of the coin forming and die force,and a comparison validation is performed with the proposed method in this paper,showing perfect agreement.The die force analysis method,which utilizes load mapping through background grids in numerical simulation of commemorative coin forming is feasible.The simulated distribution of the workpiece's results is consistent with the experimental results,which provides a guarantee for the correctness of the interaction force between the workpiece and the die.By using the load mapping method,it is possible to obtain force information for the die nodes and subsequently calculate the die stress and strain.Compared to the simulation results from commercial software,the proposed method significantly improves computational efficiency and ensures result accuracy.
