The reasons for the existence of edge coal pressure in open-pit coal mines and the necessity of mining were introduced.The development process of the first complete set of edge coal mining equipment in China was briefly explained,with a focus on the system composition and product characteristics of the key equipment,the stepper walking platform.Based on the operational characteristics of the stepper platform,a detailed explanation was provided on the role,system composition,operation process,characteristics,etc.of the platform anchor device,and a summary was made on the industrial test results.
