In the process of advancing Chinese modernization,Marxist theoretical education in colleges and universities not only faces the realistic requirement of achieving its own high-quality development but also bears the mission of serving the economic and social development of the country.Its intrinsic coupling relationship with Chinese modernization in terms of value pursuit,essential connotation,historical process and practical development determines that Marxist theoretical education in colleges and universities in the new era undertakes the era mission of cultivating a new generation of young people capable of national rejuvenation,the political mission of consolidating the guiding position of Marxism in the field of ideology,and the educational mission of promoting the comprehensive development of human beings.Constructing educational methods that are guided by directionality,spatio-temporal relevance,academic rationality,life-oriented,and emotional engagement is the requirement of the times to enhance the mission of Marxist theoretical education in colleges and universities,and to guide young students to take up their roles in the construction of Chinese modernization.
