The construction of a socialist state involves both emancipating and developing productive forces to lay a solid material foundation,and shaping a powerful spiritual force through the dissemination of mainstream ideology.In the 75 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the construction of our country's mainstream ideology has achieved many historic accomplishments,and accumulated valuable historical experience that contains many regular insights.These primarily include:the law of overall leadership,which upholds the Party's comprehensive leadership over ideological construction and firmly grasps the leadership of ideological work;the law of dominance,which maintains the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field and continuously adapts Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times;the law of mainstream leadership,which insists on the unity of constructiveness and criticality,strengthening the guidance over various trends of thought;the law of serving the overall interests,which emphasizes the coordination of mainstream ideological construction with economic work and all other tasks.On the new journey,understanding the historical law of the construction of mainstream ideology will enable us to develop a socialist ideology that has the power to unite and inspire the people,enhancing the leading power of ideology and politics through the construction of Chinese path to modernization.
