Establishing the disciplinary paradigm of ideological and political education is the inevitable outcome,manifestation,and important hallmark of the 40-year scientific development of ideological and political education.To build an independent knowledge system for the discipline of ideological and political education in China and promote its connotative development,we should adopt a self-conscious,self-reliant,and self-confident disciplinary awareness to scientifically delineate the theoretical foundation and hypotheses,theoretical horizons and topics of interest,research characteristics and methodologies,and the relationship with policy guidelines,among other components of the disciplinary paradigm structure of ideological and political education.Furthermore,we should fully leverage its functions of orientation,focusing,discovery,advocacy,and standardization.In the new era and on the new journey,while adhering to the disciplinary paradigm of ideological and political education,we should ground ourselves in reality,delve deeply into classics,and consolidate the meta-theory of the discipline;take a firm stance,observe reality,and enhance the explanatory power of the discipline;take the initiative,draw reasonable inspiration,and generate innovative points for the discipline;maintain confidence,contribute to policy-making and education,and enhance the applicability of the discipline.
