摘要
在写作《英国工人阶级状况》过程中,恩格斯深入考察了 19世纪英国的整体状况,从历时性的角度揭露了资本主义大工业生产中的种种矛盾.恩格斯将对资本逻辑的批判与对城市空间的分析有机结合,进而从工业化和城市化的双重维度揭示了英国现代化进程中产生的三组悖论.论文运用技术方法对恩格斯当时所观察的曼彻斯特城市形态变迁进行可视化分析,通过地理编码将曼彻斯特城市发展轨迹与现代地理数据进行匹配,探索社会发展与空间变化的互动、经典理论与现实场景的呼应,揭示恩格斯关于资本主义国家现代化研究的理论价值和现实启示.
Abstract
When writing The Condition of the Working-Class in England,Engels examined in depth the overall condition of England in the nineteenth century and diachronically exposed various contradictions in capitalist large-scale industrial production.Engels organically combined the critique of the logic of capital with the a-nalysis of urban space and then reveals the three sets of paradoxes arising from the modernization process in Britain from the dual dimensions of industrialization and urbanization.This paper uses technical methods to make a visualized analysis of the changes in Manchester's urban form which Engels observed at that time.It matches the trajectory of Manchester's urban development with modern geographic data through geocoding,exploring the interaction between social development and spatial change,and the echo between the classical theories and real scenarios,so as to reveal the theoretical value and practical inspiration of Engels's research on the modernization of capitalist countries.
