Analysis of Carbon Emissions throughout Whole Lifecycle of Public Buildings in Cold Regions
Taking a library in Gansu Province as an example, the energy consumption(electricity consumption)of buildings with energy-saving rate of 65%and 72%and zero-energy consumption was simu-lated by Energyplus software, and the carbon emissions throughout the whole lifecycle of three energy-saving buildings were compared.Buildings with energy effi-ciency rate of 65%have the highest building energy consumption, buildings with energy efficiency rate of 72%have the moderate building energy consumption, and buildings with zero-energy consumption have the lowest building energy consumption.Among the carbon emissions throughout the whole lifecycle of buildings, buildings with energy efficiency rate of 65%and 72%have the highest proportion of carbon emissions during their operation, and buildings with zero-energy con-sumption achieve zero carbon emissions during their operation by utilizing renewable energy(photovoltaic power generation and wind power generation).Build-ings with zero-energy consumption have the lowest car-bon emissions throughout their whole lifecycle,account-ing for only 9.89%and 10.69%of buildings with en-ergy efficiency rate of 65%and 72%,respectively.Carbon emissions mainly occur in the production stage of building materials, construction and demolition sta-ges of buildings.
