The current situation of gas safety in China is summarized.Drawing on the safety measures of the gas industry in developed countries and the ex-perience of zero fatality in the transportation,coal mine and power industries,the target as well as path,route of zero fatality in China's gas industry are put forward.The path is to establish a comprehensive management system for urban gas safety,implement key improve-ment projects in seven areas of the gas industry,inclu-ding pipeline networks,factories and stations,liquefied petroleum gas,natural gas user terminals,rural coal to gas conversion,engineering construction,and gas trans-port vehicles,and carry out N advanced research on safety technology innovation in the urban gas industry.
