In the interview,Professor Gao Minglu of the Department of History of Art & Architecture of University of Pittsburgh,looks back on the experience of contemporary art curating and theoretical construction over the past forty years,discussing the relationship between exhibition planning and theoretical research,the influence of exhibition space on works,and the transfer of the subjectivity of exhibitions.Nowadays,artists create with their ego in mind and art criticism is relatively inactive,it is still necessary to discover the innovative points in contemporary art creations through the close combination of curating and theory,and consciously construct the theoretical system and methodology.
