Early Exploratory Practices of Ethnic Art Education and Chinese National Community Identity in New China—Taking the Ethnic Classes of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute as an Example
This article takes the"Ethnic Minority Class"established in the autumn of 1956 at the Affiliated Middle School of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute(SCFAI)as the research object.Through the collection of archival literature,oral history and related materials,it sorts out and studies the establishment of ethnic classes,teaching activities of ethnic classes,learning and work experiences of ethnic students,as well as the formation and writing of national and ethnic consciousness.This not only laid the foundation for the modern transformation of grassroots art education in the southwestern ethnic areas,but also integrated a national concept,ethnic consciousness,ethnic emotions,and political concepts of a community for the Chinese nation into the discourse production and dissemination of the ethnic areas themselves.
