Contemporary"Positioning"and Cross-domain Exploration of Traditional Aesthetics—Interview with Shen Wei
Through an interview with Shen Wei,a visual artist and director,this article explores whether in the creation of contemporary art,Xieyi can serve as a common aesthetic element of Chinese style,forming a space for dialogue with the world's civilization in cross-media and cross-cultural artistic practice.Shen Wei believes that creators should continue to locate the value of Chinese aesthetics in their artistic exploration,search for the resonance between tradition and present day,recognize and grasp China's cultural heritage and the accumulation of oriental aesthetics in an all-round way,and further create pioneering Chinese art that integrates traditional aesthetics with the vision of the new era.In the cross-domain dialogue,we will jointly explore the relationship between Chinese contemporary art and modern civilization,modern society and the development of global culture,and broaden the world's perception of Chinese art.
