Stability analysis and reinforcement technology of starting chamber surrounding rock in TBM tunneling of super-long inclined shaft
The full-section tunnel boring machine(TBM)has advantages in high mechanization, automation, and high excavation efficiency. It has gradually been applied to coal mine inclined shafts and rock tunnel excavation projects.Based on geological influence of Luohe Formation, crossing Kekegai Coal Mine inclined shaft, the stability of surrounding rock of incline initial chamber, field anchor pull and force test,in-situ strength test, and jack lifting simulation test are conducted and analyzed.A plan for surrounding rock reinforcement of TBM starting chamber and TBM jack supporting for long inclined shaft is proposed. The research results indicate that the anchor pull force of the surrounding rock of the starting chamber in Luohe Formation can reach more than 100 kN.The average compressive strength of the tested section in Luohe Formation is 23.1 MPa.When the compressive stress on single supported wall rock reaches 33 MPa,there is no collapse or cracking in surrounding rock.Based on the on-site test results,a reinforcement and stable advancement plan for the top pipe shed of TBM starting chamber, the top anchor-mesh-shotcreting support in the excavation section, and TBM advancing support in chamber is proposed.Industrial tests of direct chamber excavation using TBM in Luohe Formation have verified the safety of the reinforcement technology for the surrounding rock of TBM starting chamber in Luohe Formation. The research results can provide references for similar geological incline for TBM in chamber excavation schemes.
