政府监管、媒体报道对能源企业环境治理的影响机制研究

摘要
企业环境治理与可持续发展息息相关.经济高速发展伴随着对能源需求的大幅增加,能源产业的发展一定程度上带来了环境污染问题.从社会嵌入的视角,研究宏观嵌入(政府监管和媒体报道)对能源企业环境治理的影响,揭示管理者环境认知的中介机制和高管特征的调节机制.利用2010-2022 年中国沪深A股能源企业的数据,发现政府监管、正面和负面媒体报道与管理者环境认知正相关,从而促进能源企业环境治理.进一步研究表明,在不同的产权性质下,上述关系具有不同的影响.同时,高管的个人特征对管理认知与能源企业环境治理之间的关系具有一定的调节作用.
Abstract
Corporate environmental governance is closely related to sustainable development.The rapid economic development is accompanied by a substantial increase in the demand for energy,and the development of the energy industry has brought environmental pollution problems to a certain extent.From the perspective of social embeddedness,this paper studies the impact of macro-embeddedness(government regulation and media reports)on environmental governance of energy enterprises,and reveals the mediating mechanism of managers'environmental cognition and the regulating mechanism of executives'characteristics.Using data from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share energy companies in China from 2010 to 2022,we find that government regulation,positive and negative media reports are positively correlated with managers'environmental awareness,thus promoting environmental governance of energy companies.Further research shows that the above relationships have different effects under different property rights.At the same time,the personal characteristics of executives have a certain moderating effect on the relationship between management cognition and corporate environmental protection measures.
