数字经济发展对工业企业碳减排的影响——基于A股上市公司的证据

摘要
基于2011年—2020年A股上市工业企业数据,结合中国省级层面的宏观指标,采用TOPSIS熵权法测算出中国30个省份的数字经济发展指数,运用固定效应模型和中介效应模型实证研究了数字经济发展对工业企业碳排放的影响效应及作用机制.研究表明:①数字经济发展抑制了工业企业碳排放,数字经济发展水平每增加1个单位,工业企业的碳排放会减少0.576个单位.经过内生性处理和替换变量测算方法等稳健性检验后,该结论仍然成立.②数字经济发展促进了企业技术创新,为工业企业碳减排提供了更多技术支持.数字经济发展也可以促进企业管理效率提升,但可能存在"遮掩效应",从而难以对企业碳排放降低起到正向作用.③数字经济发展对工业企业的碳减排效应在国有企业、大规模企业、成熟企业以及东部地区表现尤为显著.
Abstract
Utilizing data from A-share listed industrial companies(2011-2020)and provincial macroeconomic indicators in China,the research calculates the digital economy development index for 30 provinces using the TOPSIS entropy weight method.It employs fixed effect models and mediation effect models to analyze how digital economy development influences industrial enterprises'carbon emissions.The findings reveal that the digital economy reduces carbon emissions in these enterprises:A unit increase in the digital economy corresponds to a 0.576 unit decrease in carbon emissions.This result is consistent even after adjusting for endogeneity and using alternative variable measurement methods for robustness checks.Additionally,the digital economy fosters corporate technological innovation,aiding carbon reduction efforts in industrial enterprises.It also improves corporate management efficiency,though a"masking effect"may impede its positive impact on reducing carbon emissions.Notably,the carbon reduction benefits of the digital economy are more pronounced in state-owned,large-scale,mature enterprises,and in the eastern region.
