Objective To analyze the death characteristics of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases among esidents with household registration in Zhenjiang from 2017 to 2021,so as to provide reference for the prevention and control of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Methods Using the monitoring data of the all-cause of death in Zhenjiang residents from 2017 to 2021,the mortality rate and standardized mortality rate and other indicators were calculated, and the Joinpoint regression model was used to analyze the change trend of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases mortality and standardized mortality rate among registered residents. Results From 2017 to 2020,cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were accounting for 36.05%of all deaths in Zhenjiang registered residents.Among the people in the elder aged 70 years and above,41.48%died of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, the mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases ranged from 257.28/105 to 279.60/105,and the standardized mortality rate ranged from 186.59/105 to 207.44/105,the difference of the mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases was not statistically significant during the 5-year period(P>0.05),but the standardized mortality rate of heart disease decreased from 77.15/105 in 2017 to 68.13/105 in 2021(APC=-3.28%,P<0.05),the standardized mortality rate in females showed a downward trend(APC=-3.01%,P<0.05);the mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and heart disease in the age group 75-84 years old showed a downward trend(P<0.05),the mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in the age group 55-64 years old showed a downward trend(P<0.05).During 5 years, the mortality and standard-ized mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in females were higher than those in males, however, the results of age-specific mortality show that mortality rate of male is higher than that of female except the age group over 85 years old(P<0.05).Conclusion From 2017 to 2021,the mortality of car-diovascular and cerebrovascular diseases among residents with household registration in Zhenjiang is relatively stable, the mortality from heart disease in the female and in the elderly aged 65-74 showed downward trend, especially for male, the elderly should be the key intervention groups for cardiovascular and cerebro-vascular diseases prevention and control, and comprehensive prevention and control measures need to be strengthened to reduce the risk.
